Michelle Ross is an independent Toronto jewellery studio rooted in thoughtful design, material exploration and craftsmanship. We're looking for an organized and capable person to join our small team and become an integral part of the day-to-day running of the studio.
This is a diverse, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across different areas of a small creative business. We're looking for someone who takes pride in the details, communicates with warmth and confidence, and is comfortable taking initiative.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
STUDIO OPERATIONS
-Process, package and fulfill online orders
-Maintain accurate inventory and product information across the studio and online shop
-Receive, organize and quality-check new products and materials
-Keep the studio organized, welcoming and beautifully presented
-Keep day-to-day studio operations running smoothly, including opening and closing procedures
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
-Respond to customer inquiries with care and attention
-Create a warm, considered shopping experience and build genuine relationships with our customers both in-person and online
-Develop a deep understanding of our collections, materials, processes and the thinking behind the pieces
-Help customers thoughtfully select and style pieces
-Provide occasional support for wholesale accounts and orders

-Highly organized, dependable and attentive to detail
-A strong communicator who is warm and confident with people, both in person and in writing
-Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
-Comfortable moving between hands-on studio work, customer interaction and computer-based tasks
-Genuinely interested in jewellery, fashion, design and independent retail
-Someone with a strong sense of personal style and wide-ranging visual references, whether drawn from contemporary fashion, vintage, international design or a mix of influences
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds and experience levels. Experience in any of the following would be an asset:
-Retail, customer service or client-facing roles
-Studio, production, inventory or operations
-Shopify or e-commerce
-Adobe Photoshop or InDesign
-Photography, content creation or social media
-Jewellery, fashion, design or other creative industries
Working within a small studio means being closely involved in many sides of the business. There is room for the role to evolve based on the experience, skills and interests you bring, with opportunities to develop new skills and take on greater responsibility over time.
