Duties
- Coordinate procurement activities by managing purchasing processes and supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP to track inventory levels, process purchase orders, and maintain accurate supply chain data.
- Support demand planning efforts by analyzing sales forecasts and production schedules to optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing practices that reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to forecast material needs and prevent stock shortages or excesses.
- Oversee logistics operations including shipping, receiving,
and transportation scheduling to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement transactions, shipment status, and supply chain performance metrics for continuous improvement.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures and supplier management strategies.
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems for inventory management and procurement processes.
- Experience with procurement, demand planning, and MRP systems to forecast needs accurately.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency.
- Understanding of supply chain management practices within manufacturing environments.
