Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Kitchener has a new opportunity for an Industrial Cleaner/ Janitor. The successful incumbent will be responsible for light cleaning throughout the facility, with the opportunity to assist in our shipping/receiving department.

The salary range for this position is $21.09/hr - $22.44/hr, depending on experience.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is mainly janitorial, however if the business need arises the role will also assist in the logistics department of the facility.

Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums

Ensure all cleaning operations adhere to established health and safety procedures

Clean and sanitize restrooms, change rooms, lunch rooms and other common areas

Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repair

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

Light Clearing of snow

Secondary Responsibilities

Unpack products, verify paperwork to parts (raw material & hardware)

Pack and protect product for shipping





Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks

Pick orders for production floor for raw material, and assembly

Work very closely with Shipping Administrator and Manager of Shipping/Receiving

Any other duties that may assign

Position Requirements

Candidate must be detailed orientated

Must be able to read, write and understand English, with the ability to accept and follow both verbal and written instructions

Physical fitness and dexterity

Knowledge of cleaning and janitorial work

Strong knowledge of health and safety policy and practices
