Maidment Land Surveys is a leading municipal land surveying company in Calgary specializing in the subdivision development sector. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team at our Springbank office. This opportunity may be well suited to a survey technician, drafting technician, geomatics graduate, or an experienced administrator with strong technical aptitude who enjoys working with detailed technical information and maintaining high quality standards.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of legal survey plans, records, and survey calculations before they are delivered to clients and regulatory authorities. The successful candidate will work closely with our field crews, drafting team, and Alberta Land Surveyors to support the successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:

- Perform quality control reviews of survey plans and deliverables prepared by field and drafting staff.
- Verify the accuracy of coordinates, dimensions, labels, and other survey data.
- Ensure plans meet internal drafting standards, municipal requirements, and Alberta Land Titles specifications.
- Confirm that client instructions and project scope requirements have been fully addressed.
- Complete project quality assurance checklists and documentation.
- Maintain and update records of survey monumentation.
- Prepare and process basic Land Titles Office documentation.
- Assist with survey calculations, layout preparation, and data verification.
- Communicate effectively with field crews, drafters, and Alberta Land Surveyors to resolve discrepancies and maintain project schedules.




- Identify and help resolve quality or compliance issues before project completion.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD software is considered an asset.
- Experience with surveying calculations, legal surveys, or municipal development projects is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in land surveying, geomatics, engineering technology, drafting, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Equivalent experience in an administrative or technical support role involving data verification, quality control, or document review will also be considered.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
