Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to create a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring efficient communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure a delightful dining experience
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and restaurant policies
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in sushi or Japanese cuisine environments
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills to balance multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to perform basic math for billing, tipping, and cash handling tasks accurately
- Experience in hospitality or guest services roles that emphasize teamwork and communication
