Location: East Hants Aquatic Centre We are currently accepting applications for Swim Instructors to join our Aquatics team at the East Hants Aquatic Centre.

The East Hants Aquatic Centre is a busy community hub that includes a six-lane, 25-metre lap pool, leisure pool with spray features and ramp access, lazy river resistance moving-water pool, waterslide, climbing, outdoor splash park, multi-purpose room, and many more modern features.

Our Swim Instructors are responsible for instructing classes in a secure, fun, and professional manner, completing long-term lesson plans, maintaining training records, providing feedback to students, and completing mid-term and final reports.

The ideal Instructor candidates will have the following certifications and background:

- Bronze Cross with BWFA (IWFA preferred)
- NL considered an asset (eligible to be considered for role including Lifeguard if have NL)
- Swim Instructor
- Past experience with instructing aquatics classes, or a willingness to learn.
- Solid understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in a customer-focused environment.





Scheduling options may include daytime, evenings, or weekends. Please indicate your availability in your application. All aquatics positions are subject to child abuse registry and criminal records checks.

Hourly Rate: $19.75 hour
