Welcome to St Michael’s Prep School and thank you for your interest in joining our wonderful team. St Michael’s Prep is a co-educational, inclusive school for children aged 2 to 13. We are a school with a welcoming family atmosphere and we value our staff as a body and individually for the brilliant contribution they make.
We are committed to ensuring every member of our community feels valued and is able to strive for their vision of success. We believe in providing a rounded education where children can pursue their passions, challenge themselves and enjoy a creative and cutting-edge curriculum. Access to our 100-acre site plays an important role in the pupils’ learning and growth, developing them into mindful and knowledgeable citizens who will care for their environments throughout their lives. There is a lively and purposeful environment and you will be working with highly motivated pupils who are keen to learn.

To plan and deliver high-quality differentiated learning for all children, promote swimming to participants and encourage them to progress through the stages of the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway and undertake routine assessments.
Be responsible for the well-being of participants throughout the duration of the swim session, making sure those participating are aware of rules and safety requirements and abide by such rules.

Essential Criteria
Experience of working with children in all key stages
Safeguarding training
RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (or similar)
STA membership or Swim England or equivalent
Minimum Level 2 swimming qualification
Experience of working with children with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties An enhanced disclosure via the DBS and registration for the Update Service
