The Talent Acquisition team is looking for a TA Specialist to partner closely with business leaders and candidates, fostering meaningful relationships that help attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent. In this role, you will support both the Experienced Hire and Early Talent portfolios, providing recruitment services across a variety of business lines. Working collaboratively with other Talent Acquisition Consultants, you will help deliver consistent, high-quality recruitment solutions and an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Create a seamless and positive experience for hiring manager and prospective candidates
- Manage recruitment process from start to finish for unionized and non-unionized positions: job postings, sourcing, interviewing, processing references and background checks to the offer stage
- Provide guidance to hiring managers in all areas of internal and external recruitment including: sourcing strategies, policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to provisions of the appropriate Collective Agreements and applicable legislation
- Brand ambassador by supporting and championing company’s recruitment branding strategy to attract top talent
- Develop and manage pipeline of potential candidates for client groups through proactive market analysis, data insights, and ongoing relationship management
- Participate and lead Talent Acquisition related projects and initiatives as required
- Coordinate and participate in career fairs, information sessions, networking events, on-campus recruitment activities, and other off-site events to promote employment opportunities
- Stay informed of current trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive and creative with sourcing and attracting quality candidates
- Support operations of the New Grad Program - Plan, schedule, organize New Grad events to promote connection, learning and development (Orientation, Graduation, development sessions, tours, information sessions)
- Coordinate and organize New Grad information and support with New Grad recruitment efforts
- Develop, design and manage New Grad brand, policies and strategies
Selection Criteria:
- 4-6 years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced organization
- Advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience or interest in Recruitment, and/or early talent programming
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, be flexible and adapt to change
- Working experience with ATS/HRIS (SuccessFactors), SAP, ServiceNow preferred
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
- Experience in the utility, manufacturing or similar work environment is an asset, specifically with trades and technical hiring
- Experience with a new graduate program including building an on-campus presence
- Results oriented, with the ability to think analytic

The pay range that the employer in positive faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $30-$38/hr CAD.
