SAGD or heavy oilExperience operating gas compression and pipelines is preferredDiploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology, 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate (ABSA certified), or equivalentA High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving recordKey Accountabilities:Follow all operating processes and procedures during operations to ensure the safety of our people, equipment, and the environmentExecute pad operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production, with clear and effective communication during shift handoversMonitor operating conditions—including levels, pressures, and temperatures—and take timely action to adjust processes during upsets in line with production targetsPerform routine operating tasks such as monitoring levels, pressures, and temperaturesPerform basic troubleshooting, initiate corrective actions, and coordinate repairs as requiredPrepare and isolate equipment and systems to support maintenance activitiesLocation and other Key Details:You will work out of our Firebag location, which is our largest In Situ operation and one of the largest in the world (and located 120 km northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta). This is a Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) camp-based position; you will FIFO from a Suncor hub location: Calgary/Edmonton, Alberta or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off; 12-hour shifts). This position is safety sensitive.
