Join BroadGrain Commodities as a Legal Counsel and contribute to our global grain trading operations. This temporary contract role will have you overseeing diverse legal activities from our Toronto office.

BroadGrain Commodities is seeking a Legal Counsel to take charge of corporate legal matters for a 12-month temporary position. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage legal compliance, coordinate with external legal service providers across multiple countries, and oversee contract negotiations. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of excellence in sourcing and distribution while facilitating continual growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage corporate structure and regulatory compliance in Canada and internationally
• Coordinate external legal activities across jurisdictions




• Review and negotiate commercial contracts effectively
• Counsel divisions on IT, employment, and contract laws
• Conduct corporate due diligence and prepare articles of incorporation

Requirements:
• Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada
• 3 years of post-call experience in legal matters
• Robust knowledge of Canadian business laws
• Experience with international legal issues beneficial
• Excellent communication and drafting skills
