Technical AI Governance Manager
Contract
Length of the engagement: Aug 31, 2026 - Jan 4, 2027
Description
What you will do
- Shape the governance posture of our solution strategy: identify the control points, risks, and approval requirements our agentic and GenAI solutions will face in client environments, and embed the answers into the architecture from the start
- Produce and defend governance artifacts in client forums: control mappings, risk and impact assessments (privacy, security, architecture, people), and Architecture Review Board documentation
- Anticipate the concerns of governance stakeholders (security, privacy, risk, compliance, enterprise architecture) and design practical mitigations that accelerate, rather than stall, adoption
- Build the team's working understanding of how enterprise governance operates, translating client governance expectations into practical design guidance, including for non-deterministic systems (evaluation, human-in-the-loop controls, monitoring, auditability)
- Flex between hands-on delivery of these artifacts and advisory support to the broader team
Must-have qualifications
- Direct experience with IT governance at a large institution, including presenting and defending a solution architecture at an Architecture Review Board or equivalent
- Some experience with governance of GenAI, agentic, or other non-deterministic systems
- Working knowledge of GenAI and agentic platform architecture, with the technical depth to engage credibly with engineers
- Experience assessing the privacy, security, architecture, and people impacts of new systems, and identifying the control points that apply to nascent technologies
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the Canadian AI implementation landscape across public and private sectors
- Experience in a consulting or vendor context helping solutions transparent client-side governance review
