Tech BA with Capital Markets and API integrations

Role Overview

- 8+ years overall experience required
- Financial services experience required (Treasury preferred)
- Responsible for leading system requirements for application development

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into functional and non-functional specifications
- Lead and manage delivery of system requirements aligned to standards/frameworks
- Facilitate requirement discussions, workshops, and user story refinement
- Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria (Jira-based)
- Develop detailed interface specifications (internal/external systems)
- Create artifacts: data flow diagrams, process models, message mappings
- Define BDD-style requirements for development and testing
- Identify cross-functional impacts and ensure alignment across teams
- Collaborate with vendors, architects, and engineers on APIs, data formats, and design
- Support testing (scenario definition, defect triage, traceability)
- Assist in production issue analysis and root cause investigation
- Continuously improve documentation standards, templates, and practices

Leadership & Collaboration

- Act as BSA Lead and mentor/support junior team members
- Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders




- Work closely with internal teams; minimal external vendor interaction
- Lead stakeholder workshops and alignment sessions

Technical & Domain Expertise

- Strong understanding of banking systems and treasury workflows
- Experience with system integrations:
- APIs (REST, JSON/XML)
- Batch processing / file transfers
- Message queues
- Familiarity with mainframe integrations and flat files
- Experience with tools:
- Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow
- Postman (API testing)
- Ability to read system logs and support L3 issue analysis

Delivery & Process Knowledge

- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management
- Solid focus on quality, scalability, and reusability

Work Environment

- ~50% time in meetings
- Stakeholder interaction: internal business & technical teams
- Access to customer data: Yes

Must-Have Qualifications

- 7+ years as Business Systems Analyst (system build & integration projects)
- Strong integration experience (API, batch, messaging)
- Solid documentation and BDD requirements skills
- Experience with Agile + Waterfall delivery

Nice-to-Have

- 3+ years in Commercial Treasury domain
- Mainframe integration experience
- Root cause analysis / production support exposure

Soft Skills

- Ability to work independently
- Strong stakeholder management
- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
