The Opportunity Are you a creative professional with a passion for design, digital media, and storytelling? Join the City of Greater Sudbury as a Technical Co-ordinator, Communications and Engagement where you'll create engaging visual and digital content that helps connect residents with City programs, services and initiatives. Working with teams across the organization, you'll bring ideas to life through graphic design, multimedia, web content and marketing campaigns.
What You'll Do
- Design graphics, presentations, brochures, advertisements, promotional materials and digital content.
- Create multimedia content, including photography, videography, social media graphics and online videos.
- Develop content for websites, social media, marketing campaigns and special events.
- Collaborate with City departments to support communications and engagement initiatives.
- Ensure all creative materials reflect the City's branding and visual standards.
- Stay current on design trends and emerging technologies while supporting corporate events and promotional activities.
What You'll Bring
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Film, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 2.5 years of related experience in graphic design, multimedia or communications.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and web publishing tools.
- Strong understanding of design principles, digital marketing and content creation.
- Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal English; French language skills are an asset.
- A valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and an acceptable driving record.

Salary And Additional Benefits The salary range for this position is $32.74 to $40.69 per hour (subject to review*). We also offer eligibility for OMERS pension plan, an Employee Assistance Program and more.
We provide a supportive work environment that promotes work-life integration. This position is eligible for hybrid work . Hybrid work arrangements are operational and incumbent based. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at a City of Greater Sudbury location a minimum of three days per week and must be able to report to a City of Greater Sudbury work location within two hours when required.
Additional Notes This role may be filled as a development opportunity if a fully qualified candidate is not identified. Salary will reflect a developmental range until qualifications are met.
