Lead the Future of Player Development
Toronto Athletic FC Academy is seeking an experienced, high-performance leader to shape and elevate our technical direction. This is an opportunity to build a clear playing identity, develop coaches, and guide ambitious youth players within a competitive academy environment. We are looking for a Technical Director who is passionate about long-term player development and committed to excellence on and off the field.
The Mandate
- Define and implement a clear academy playing philosophy
- Build and enforce a unified training methodology
- Lead a long-term player development pathway aligned with national standards
- Drive technical consistency and accountability across all teams
- Oversee player identification, benchmarking, and progression
- Mentor and elevate coaching staff performance
- Integrate performance analysis and modern training principles
- Support competitive programming and high-level tournament planning
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years experience in competitive youth soccer or academy leadership
- Proven leadership experience (Technical Director, Head Coach, or Senior Coach)
- Recognized coaching license (CSA, UEFA, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of Long-Term Player Development models
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire coaching staff
- Robust communication and organizational skills
- Passion for high-performance player environments
