Join Our Place Peel as a Youth Diversion Worker and provide critical diversion support to vulnerable youth in the Region of Peel. This dynamic role involves assessing housing alternatives and guiding youth toward independence.
As a Youth Diversion Worker, you will actively engage with youth facing homelessness, helping them access safe housing options while employing a client-centered approach. Collaborate with community partners, provide counseling, and facilitate skill-building to foster growth and stability. This full time position requires passion for youth empowerment and a dedication to improving lives.
Key Responsibilities: • Assess alternative living arrangements with youth in crisis • Provide counseling, mediation,
and conflict resolution • Develop partnerships with community services for support • Facilitate social and emotional skills development groups • Compile statistical information for program evaluations
Requirements: • University degree in a related field • Over 3 years of experience in social services • Knowledge in trauma-informed care and housing solutions • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and liability insurance • CPI/UMAB and First Aid/CPR certification
