Delta Water Products is looking for an exceptional Credit, Collections & Financing Specialist to take ownership of a unique and highly visible role that combines commercial credit, collections, customer financing, and lender relationship management. What You'll Do As our Credit, Collections & Financing Specialist, you'll be at the centre of some of Delta's most important business relationships.
You'll protect cash flow and manage credit risk while helping customers access financing solutions that make purchasing easier and help our sales teams close more business. You'll act as the bridge between customers, sales representatives, finance partners, and internal stakeholders, guiding transactions from initial credit review through to funding and payment.
This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems,
building relationships, making decisions, and taking ownership.
You Will Credit & Collections
Review, analyze, and approve customer credit applications and supporting documentation
Conduct commercial credit investigations using agencies such as Equifax, D&B;, and other reporting resources
Establish and manage customer credit limits, payment terms, and risk exposure
Proactively manage collections activities across Canada and the United States
Partner with customers to resolve payment challenges while maintaining solid business relationships
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally
Monitor accounts receivable performance and identify emerging credit risks
Prepare A/R aging reports, collection summaries, and credit risk reporting for management
Support month-end, audit, and general accounts receivable activities
Financing & Underwriting Coordination
Serve as Delta's primary point of contact for equipment financing opportunities
Work closely with sales teams to identify financing solutions that support customer purchasing decisions
Collect and assess customer financial information and financing documentation
Perform preliminary underwriting reviews to evaluate creditworthiness and transaction viability
Structure financing requests with lending partners, including rates, terms, residual values, and payment options
Match financing opportunities with the most suitable lending partners
Coordinate lender communications through underwriting, approval, documentation, and funding
Manage approval conditions and help resolve issues that could delay financing decisions
Maintain financing tools, calculators, lender resources, and program documentation
Support the continued growth and development of Delta's financing program
Collaboration & Business Support
Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to support profitable growth
Balance customer service, financing support, and credit risk management to achieve business objectives
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and customer financing solutions
Contribute to the development of best practices in credit, collections, and financing
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in commercial credit, collections, equipment financing, leasing, lending, or a related financial services environment
Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis, risk assessment, collections, and financing transactions
Experience reviewing credit applications and evaluating customer financial information
Experience working directly with lenders, financing partners, or financial institutions
Proven ability to manage multiple transactions, customer accounts, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the confidence to navigate sensitive financial conversations professionally
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or a similar ERP system
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
Credit Institute of Canada designation (CCP) or equipment financing/leasing experience is considered a strong asset
