We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires solid communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are considered a plus. The Cashier will be responsible for managing cash handling processes, operating POS systems, and upselling products to enhance sales.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit payments
Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision and integrity
Provide product demos and information to customers to promote sales
Upsell items and suggest additional products to meet customer needs
Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
Manage phone inquiries professionally following proper phone etiquette
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized checkout area
Support team members with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Ensure timely transaction processing while delivering excellent customer service
Experience
Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred, freshers are welcome
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Hindi, Punjabi or other languages are a plus
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling
Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, and upselling techniques is advantageous
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience in technical sales or familiarity with technology products is beneficial but not required
