Oakville, Guelph, Calgary office,
you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals. The compensation range for this role is $134,000 to $184,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location To thrive in this role,you’llbe comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities: Develop and applygroundwater flow and transport modelsto support decision-makingfor a wide range of projects. Provide ownership,oversight, review, and technical directionofmodelling projects and deliverables, collaborating closely with junior and intermediate project staff,internalcollaborators,and clients. Lead discussions with clients and prepare scopes of work including pricing and staffing. Act as projectmanager for multiple routine projects or fewer complex projects. Developandexecuteconceptual model-driven work plans that balance the application of innovative modelling tools and approaches with the scale and scope of the problem.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team focused on being trusted advisorsto our clients. Managemultiple priorities, scope changes and supportmultiple project managers. Provide peer review and technical accountability of project results and reports. Liaise with clients and stakeholders within various sectors. YourExpertise andSkills These requirements reflect the knowledge,skillsand abilities that help you do your best work here. Anundergraduateorgraduate degree in Engineering,EarthSciencesor related discipline 15years’ experiencein a similar role within a consulting environment with experience in hydrogeologyand numerical methods. Professional registration with provincial self-regulating organizations (e.g., APEGA). Demonstrated experience in the application of numerical modellingtools and approaches,including,remedial action plans,subwatershedstudies, environmental assessments, wellhead protection studies, anduncertainty analysis to support risk assessment. Experiencewith FEFLOW,MODFLOW,MIKESHE, ATRANS, Hydrus,or similar software. Knowledgein specialized technical areas such asgeostatistics, reactive transport modelling, multi-phase modelling,or coupled surface water-groundwater flow and transport modelling. Skilled in data analysis using Database/GIS/Visualization tools to support conceptual model development and numerical modelling results analyses. Experiencein data management and analysis,especially withPythonorSQL. Strong business development acumen anddesire to develop and expand client opportunities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a collaborative attitude. Strong commitment tomentorship and knowledge transfer. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Strongexperience writing technical memos and giving presentationsinaconsultingenvironment. A valid class G driver’s license with no restrictionsis an asset.
