This role encompasses physician leadership and administration, emphasizing collaboration and accountability. You will guide local medical staff in achieving quality and accreditation goals while mentoring colleagues in risk management and compliance. Your influence will be vital in physician recruitment, credentialing, and ensuring adherence to Bylaws and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of quality and accreditation standards
• Chair the local quality committee and mentor members
• Oversee physician recruitment and credentialing processes
• Address clinical performance issues among medical staff
• Engage in strategic planning and operational functions
Requirements:
• Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
• Proven medical leadership experience and effectiveness
• Clinically active physician or nurse practitioner
• Master’s degree in healthcare administration preferred
• Commitment to mentoring and developing physician leaders
