The
John M. Parrott Centre
is a fully accredited state-of-the-art, 168 bed long-term care home, owned and operated by the County of Lennox and Addington, in the Town of Greater Napanee. The Centre offers free parking, a protected work environment, and advanced technology. We are working towards becoming an RNAO Best Practice Spotlight Organization.
What you will do: Reporting to the Manager of Nursing, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to enhance the well-being of the individuals and communities we serve. Your key responsibilities will include:
Support residents with their person centered activities of daily living that support their individual needs and preferences, ensuring comfort, dignity, and independence
Provide emotional, cognitive, and social support to promote residents’ overall well-being
Use safe and proper techniques for lifting and transferring residents
What you will bring:
We are looking for someone who shares our

and brings:
Personal Support Worker Certificate or recognized equivalent, as per the Fixing Long-Term Care Act
Strong communication and computer skills
Empathy and sincere commitment to the well-being of all individuals in long-term care, regardless of age
Strong team player, supporting colleagues and fostering a cooperative environment, while also able to work independently when needed
Proven ability to attend work regularly and punctually
Able to meet the physical and cognitive demands of the position
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector, is a condition of employment
