Chief Operating Officer (COO) About the Company Well-established investment group serving the local community Industry Investment Management Type Privately Held Employees 51-200 About the Role The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be a key figure in leading operational performance across the organization's diverse portfolio, ensuring that each business operates efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with long-term objectives. This role demands a team-oriented and commercially minded executive with a solid background in operational leadership, a solid understanding of governance and legal frameworks, and the ability to build alignment across multiple business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating the CEO's vision into operational strategies, leading the execution of growth initiatives, and monitoring performance through key indicators. Additionally, the COO will oversee day-to-day operations, drive efficiency, and promote continuous improvement while fostering a workplace that is culturally respectful and aligned with Indigenous values.



Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or equivalent graduate degree considered an asset. A legal background or significant experience in legal and governance frameworks is also required. The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years' of progressive executive leadership experience, particularly in multi-entity or group of companies structures, and a proven track record in financial leadership and strategic partnership building. Key competencies include executive leadership, strategic execution, corporate governance, compliance, financial acumen, risk management, and a strong focus on relationship building and stakeholder engagement. The role is pivotal in balancing commercial priorities with community objectives, and the COO will be expected to ensure that the organization's operations are in harmony with Indigenous values and cultural awareness.
