Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the incumbent of this position supports maintenance, production and engineering to improve equipment reliability, reduce failures, increase uptime and enhance machine safety.
Functional responsibilities
Customer account management
Optimize EAM software to structure maintenance and document failures
Participate in the development and implementation of a complete preventive maintenance program for major equipment
Participate in the implementation and commissioning of current equipment and establish critical parts and required preventive maintenance
Analyze and identify critical failures for extrusion, lamination, presses, and slitting
Participate in the maintenance and improvement of the building and services (RTO, compressors, glycol, electricity, etc.)
Identify critical parts and help manage and optimize spare parts inventory
Participate in the planning of shutdowns and major maintenance
Design mechanical parts to replace discontinued or overly expensive components (SolidWorks)
Update plant and machine drawings (AutoCAD)
Update lockout procedures and ensure that they are understood by teams
Participate in 5S activities (organization, cleanliness, standardization)
Participate in increasing safety and ensure machine compliance
Personal development and other tasks
Participate in conferences, training or other activities to improve knowledge/skills in this position as requested or in agreement with supervisor.
