Are you an experienced project manager, looking for a new role in a company offering a positive environment, autonomy, and the chance to work on varied projects? We’re Civica Infrastructure Inc. We provide consulting services to both private and public sector clients for storm and sanitary sewer capacity assessment and optimization, and storm drainage and stormwater management systems.
Your dedication to the quality of your work is what makes you stand out – it’s what makes us stand out too. That’s why we need you, to help complete our team as our new Project Manager.
Wet Weather Flow Reduction Project Manager (WWFR PM) Your main goal in this position is the procurement and delivery of Wet Weather Flow Reduction projects at Civica. You’ll ultimately be responsible for maintaining revenue and sales targets, resource management and planning, client and project management, and project delivery within the team. Succeeding here will require equal parts technical proficiency and people skills. When you’re not engaged in overseeing the technical work of our Project Analysts or serving as a technical resource, you’ll be helping to build our team, communicating with stakeholders, and training team members as needed.
Practically speaking, here’s what you’ll be doing on a daily basis: Task leadership on Inflow/Infiltration (I/I) reduction strategy projects and/or tasks, ensuring completion of work on-time and on-budget
Writing/reviewing technical reports and design briefs to document analyses
Ensuring high quality of written, technical and graphical work completed by Project Analysts
Reviewing the development of surface drainage, sewer collection, hydrologic/hydraulic models to assess performance,
investigate deficiencies and generate/evaluate feasible remedial solutions
Planning, commissioning, managing, and undertaking field investigations in support of sanitary sewers evaluation surveys (SSES)
Preparing engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Preparing preliminary design briefs associated with new and/or the rehabilitation of existing sewer assets
Preparing contract specifications, tender documents, and cost estimates
Preparing agency applications for approvals and coordinating with approval agencies
Contributing to proposal development work as directed by the Business Unit Leader
You’ll be a perfect fit for this role if you are: An excellent communicator – you always get your message across clearly and effectively, whether through a qualified email or casual conversation.
Organized – you’re disciplined in managing competing priorities and multiple relationships, and you can follow through without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
Collaborative – you enjoy working with others, meeting new people, and collaborating with different departments. You embrace and add to our culture and help raise the level of the entire team.
Resourceful – you’re versatile and able to solve unexpected problems as they arise. You’re also a forward-thinker who can foresee issues and prevent them from happening. We’ll look to you to not only manage the day-to-day of the project, but also to find efficiencies and improve our process for the future. With us, you’ll have a voice and a say in how we do things, and we want to hear your ideas.
Working at Civica Infrastructure Inc. This is a full time, permanent position, with potential overtime/weekends during peak periods and with the ability to work remotely. You’ll receive a competitive starting salary commensurate with experience. You’ll also enjoy 3 weeks’ vacation to start and a comprehensive benefits package. We take care of our people because we know our people are at the heart of our success.
Here’s what we’re looking for: Registration and in good standing with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) as a P.Eng. or working toward this designation
