We are looking for a motivated Environmental Student to join our Field Operations team based out of St. Albert, Alberta for the Summer 2027 term. In this role, you will work closely with Environmental Specialists, Coordinators, and Operations personnel to support environmental programs and regulatory compliance activities across our conventional assets. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in both office and field environments. You will assist with environmental data management, field inspections, regulatory support activities, and environmental program administration while developing a strong understanding of environmental stewardship within the energy industry.

Job location: St. Albert, AB
Shift schedule : 5 days on, 2 days off, working 8 hours per day (Monday – Friday)
Term length: 4 months
Term start: May 2027

Key Accountabilities:
Perform database entry, clean up, and data quality review
Assist with report reviews and filing of field reports
Provide support to Environmental Specialists and Coordinators
Assist with the generation of supporting data and forms for regulatory application submissions
Contribute to program planning
Complete regular site visits to assist with Worksite Safety Observations (WSOs)
Participate in cross referencing field activities with program inventory
What You Bring to the Role:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or diploma program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Biology, Geography, Natural Resources, or a related discipline
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Interest in environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and supporting responsible resource development
Experience operating a pickup truck and comfort traveling to field locations in varying road and weather conditions are considered assets.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team-oriented team environment
Comfortable working in both office and field settings, including travel to operating sites and exposure to varying weather conditions
Previous environmental, regulatory, reclamation, remediation, or oil and gas field experience would be considered an asset
Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license (or equivalent) and are comfortable driving a half-ton truck to field locations
A pre‑employment drug screening test must be successfully completed
