Automotive Service Technician – Penticton, BC (J,A)

Location: Penticton, BC

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $42–$50 per hour (straight time) + Productivity Bonus

Employer: Established Independent Automotive Repair & Tire Shop

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Journeyman Technicianto join a busy, established automotive repair and tire shop in Penticton, BC. They will also consider a 4th yr Apprentice

Our client, is looking for someone who is technically strong, productive, dependable, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. Who can work on AC and CVIP ready

This is a excellent chance for a technician who enjoys working on a variety of makes and models and wants steady work, competitive pay, benefits, and a supportive shop workplace.

What We're Looking For
Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification , or;
Automotive Apprentice Technician, 4th yr
Strong automotive diagnostic skills
Experience working on multiple makes and models
Strong passenger vehicle and light-truck experience
Electrical and electronic diagnostic experience
Ability to troubleshoot problems rather than simply replace parts




Solid mechanical knowledge
Good productivity and time-management skills
Consistent quality workmanship
Low comeback rate
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently
Team-oriented attitude
Skilled communication skills
Willingness to help apprentices and less-experienced technicians

Compensation

$42–$50 per hour, depending on:
Automotive repair experience
Diagnostic ability
Productivity
Quality of workmanship
Ability to work independently
Overall technical capability

Higher rates are available for technicians who demonstrate strong diagnostics, high production, consistent quality, and a low comeback rate.
