Join Powell River Educational Services Society as a compassionate Community Inclusion Worker. Support a non-verbal individual to foster independence and participation both at home and in the community.

This role is designed for someone patient and empathetic, focusing on promoting inclusion and safety for a non-verbal individual. You'll employ your understanding of autism and sensory needs to encourage meaningful participation in daily life. Strong communication and observation skills are essential, as well as a valid driver's license for community activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one support in home and community
• Encourage participation in individual-focused activities
• Support daily routines and essential life skills




• Respond to sensory and emotional needs with respect
• Ensure safety and dignity at all times

Requirements:
• Experience supporting non-verbal individuals preferred
• Understanding of autism and person-centered support
• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Versatile approach to structured support
