About us:
Concord Pacific Developments Corp. is Canada's largest master-planned community builder. It was formed in 1987 to develop Concord Pacific Place on the former Expo lands in downtown Vancouver, Canada.
Concord has not only transformed the Concord Pacific Place Vancouver skyline, the group also built the second largest master-planned community, Concord CityPlace in Toronto (Concord Adex), in addition to other communities of scale across the country with expansion also to London, United Kingdom and Seattle, United States. We are actively hiring an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our accounting team.
Job Duties:
Prepare and process accounts payable invoices, cheques, EFT and wire transfers
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, taking advantage of vendor terms, where appropriate
Correspond with vendors,
respond to inquiries and resolve invoice discrepancies
Sort and file all paid invoices and other documents, as needed
Reconcile vendor statements, bank statements and other related accounts
Prepare and post AP journal entries, including accruals, payments, and adjustments
Prepare and file GST returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax regulations
Ensure the Accounting System is updated regularly for accuracy of vendor contact and address information
Perform other related accounts payable duties as required
Various ad hoc and special projects
Requirements:
At least 2 years of accounting experience in a similar role
A diploma or degree in accounting or administration, or equivalent
General knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
Strong knowledge of office applications - Excel, Word, Outlook
Excellent phone and email etiquette and ability to write transparent and concise business communications
Ability to work proactively both independently and in a team environment
Impeccable accuracy with numbers and high level of attention to detail
A solid work ethic with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced high-volume environment
Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
