Join our team – Use your financial and administrative skills to support Ontario's historic sites! The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming, Huronia Historical Parks (HHP) seeks an experienced individual to provide revenue accounting, reconciliation, banking activities and reporting at Huronia Historical Parks' three historic attractions, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, Discovery Harbour, and Nancy Island.

About the job collect, check and verify daily revenue from various sources.
handle deposits, banking activities, and float management for admissions, events, and retail.
ensure compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
support the Marketing department with training, meetings, events, forecasting, and ticket booth backup.
provide administrative support to the Corporate Services Department.
support ticket booth staff with policy clarifications and issue resolution.
Please note:
This seasonal position typically works 10 months of the year with a 2-month hiatus period.
Evening and weekend work will be required to support special events at the attractions.
What you bring to the team Mandatory requirements You must possess a valid Class G driver's licence as recognized in the Province of Ontario.
Skills for managing revenue and financial records You have:
knowledge of policies and procedures relating to revenue processing, depositing, payment card industry (PCI) standards, accounts receivable and reconciliation
the ability to calculate, balance cash, handle U.S. exchange rates, and reconcile daily figures to resolve discrepancies.
computer skills to create charts, reports, spreadsheets, and/or tables.
proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel,
PowerPoint) to manage data, create spreadsheets, and reports.
Administrative knowledge and skills You have
knowledge of clerical functions and administrative practices.
accurate keyboarding skills and are able to operate computerized ticket sales, cash handling, and balancing POS records.
the ability to process debit and credit card transactions.
proficiency with office equipment such as multi-line telephone system, mailing systems, POS equipment and ticketing software
Analytical skills You can:
trace, identify and analyze discrepancies and take appropriate action to resolve them.
assess workload demands and prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met
Communication skills You can:
effectively communicate instructions to staff and visitors, address inquires, and clarify admission policies for staff and visitors.
demonstrate courtesy, tact, diplomacy and apply a 'visitor-first' philosophy when dealing with visitors

In this seasonal role, you will be compensated, in addition to your salary as follows:
5 % of gross pay in lieu of statutory holidays
5.75% of gross pay in lieu of vacation
supplementary Health and Hospital (SH&H;) Plan (which includes vision care and hearing aid advantages), Dental Plan, and Basic Life Insurance Plan.
accrual of attendance credits at the rate of 1.25 days per calendar month of full attendance to be used in the event that an employee is unable to attend to work for reason of illness or injury
you may, at your expense, participate in the OPSEU Pension Plan
