In this full time position, report to the Vice-President, Research and Innovation while working closely with senior legal counsel. You will offer legal advice on intellectual property, contractual obligations, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Utilize your legal expertise to facilitate research agreements and ensure compliance with regulations and policies in one of Canada’s leading research universities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on research agreements and compliance




• Support contractual obligations and account setup procedures
• Collaborate with researchers and university partners
• Develop and review research-related policies
• Contribute to legal initiatives within the portfolio

Requirements:
• LLB or JD with 2+ years of experience
• Knowledge of intellectual property law
• Experience in contract negotiation and advising
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly
• Effective relationship-building skills
