Who We Are

TurF is a three-in-one studio, bistro, and boutique in Kitsilano. We bring a conscious sweat, a considered menu, and a thoughtful assortment of things we love. Our bakery is entirely plant-based and in our kitchen, “valuable” means whole, humane and non-processed with no refined sugar. It means we always source from local farms first, and choose organic only when it makes sense.

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and creative person to join our Bakery team! You will work out of both out commissary kitchen (production baking) + Kitsilano, (opening bakery). We are proud to say that we have a hard-working, professional, and most importantly fun setting to work in! We have an interesting menu, and lots of room for talented individuals to express themselves within our team.

Duties & Responsibilities include:
5.30AM Bakery Opening Duties
Baking daily offerings (muffins, scones, cornbread etc.)
Setting items out for display
Preparing and packaging grab and go breakfast items
Responsible for following standardized recipes
Ensures correct use, storage, and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and facility.
Promote teamwork and display a positive attitude towards educating the customers about TurF.
Responsible for working in a clean, and organized manner.




Complies with local food safety regulations
Responsible for opening & closing duties which include cleaning, organizing, and weekly/monthly kitchen maintenance projects.

The finer print:
Start time as early as 6AM! Please only inquire if this is available to you.
5 shifts a week
1+ years of experience in a high volume, fast paced environment is an asset but not required
2+ years of experience in a bakery or food preparation role is an asset but not necessary
Has a deep passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven food.
Has solid principals in regard to proper cooking techniques, and an eye for detail
Keen understanding of nutrition, and healthy living
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Must be able to lift heavy objects, 25 kg or 50 lb, from the ground to a table

Salary: Starting at $18.50per hour
