The Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is seeking a Mental Health Liaison Nurse in a casual relief capacity. In this role, you will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and consultations within the Emergency Department. Your skills will be used for crisis intervention, treatment recommendations, and cooperative care, impacting patient well-being directly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and recommendations
• Facilitate admissions as needed for psychiatric emergencies




• Perform crisis intervention and linkage to community resources
• Conduct follow-up care and manage short-term crises
• Engage in consultations for in-patients with mental health challenges

Requirements:
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred
• Active licensure in Manitoba required
• Five years combined experience in mental health settings
• Training in Basic Life Support and crisis intervention
• Extensive knowledge of community resources and psychopharmacology
