Elevate student success as an Academic Advisor at the University of Manitoba. This full-time position focuses on guiding first-year undergraduate students through course planning and academic challenges.
We are seeking an Academic Advisor AA2 with at least two years of relevant experience. Your role will include facilitating student access to resources, advising on academic policies, and conducting informative sessions for prospective students. You’ll utilize your strong communication skills to build supportive relationships with students and contribute to their success across campus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise students on course and program planning
• Review academic experiences and goals with students
• Conduct recruitment and information sessions
• Approve requests for exams and withdrawals
• Maintain knowledge of academic policies and student needs
Requirements:
• University undergraduate degree required
• Minimum of two years academic advising experience
• Knowledge of Fort Garry campus services preferred
• Experience making public presentations
• Robust interpersonal and communication skills
