The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is looking to fill the position of Regional Asset Management Technologist in Thompson, MB.

Duties:
The Regional Asset Management Technician (RAMT) reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager (MM).
The RAMT develops and administers the Regional Maintenance, Preservation, and portions of the Capital Programs through the collection and integrity verification of road data, using the Asset/Maintenance Management System and Pavement Prediction Technology (PPT) to plan, organize and track budgeting and program delivery while adhering to Department standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Essential:

- Extensive experience working in a highway maintenance and/or road construction environment.
- Extensive operational knowledge of commonly used highway maintenance equipment and materials.
- Experience in financial management and preparing or
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor others in best practices, continuous learning, and self development.
- Knowledge of Department policies, construction specifications, procedures and guidelines.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software package (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Effective written communication skills with the ability to maintain accurate records, and prepare applicable correspondence and associated technical reports for a wide ranging audience.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with maintenance and preservation software.

Conditions of Employment:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess and maintain a valid full stage Manitoba Class 5 driver’s licence
- Must be able to travel throughout the province by ground, air,



or by boat and stay overnight as required
- Must be able to work alone, work extended hours when required, including some weekends
