Overview
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will have the opportunity to become a dedicated contributor to our oil sands mining operations by operating ultra class haul trucks in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. This role is essential to supporting site production goals while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Minimum Requirements
At least 2 years experience with operating equipment (haul trucks, wiggle wagon, dozers, graders, excavators) in industries such as mining, civil earthworks, pipelines sawmills, pulp. and paper mills or manufacturing, or highway construction.
A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or Canadian Adult Educational Credential (CAEC) or 10+ years or work experience.
A valid driver’s license and a cleaning driving record.
Responsibilities
Be a positive contributor to building safety culture
Complete walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments
Follow our operating standards and procedures
Operate carious makes and models of haul trucks
Report all incidents, damage, and near misses immediately
Communicate updates to your supervisor to ensure that you meet all goals and objectives
LOCATION & OTHER KEY DETAILS
You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray
The shift schedule is six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12 hour shifts)
This is not a camp-based or fly in/fly out position
This position is safety sensitive
