Lead Indigenous research initiatives at the University of Calgary as an Indigenous Research Coordinator. Support researchers through data governance and engage with Indigenous communities.
This full-time, fixed-term position is focused on Indigenous Research Data initiatives within the Indigenous Research Support Team (IRST). You will assist with project coordination, develop resources, and facilitate workshops while promoting Indigenous ways of knowing. Your role encompasses a team-oriented approach to enhance Indigenous research practices across the university.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Indigenous research data initiatives and objectives
• Coordinate Indigenous Research Data Working Group meetings
• Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans
• Assist in developing educational materials and resources
• Facilitate Indigenous research workshops and consultations
Requirements:
• Minimum undergraduate degree
• 2-3 years of research support experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous research guidelines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
