We are currently looking for a CNC Cutting Programmer & Material Coordinator to create and maintain CNC cutting programs, coordinate plate material through the cutting process, and support accurate, efficient fabrication production. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Engineering, Quality, and Production to support project schedules, material utilization, traceability, and safe cutting operations.

Position Responsibilities:

Create, modify, verify, and maintain CNC cutting programs using ProNest software for the Koike plasma cutting table

Review issued fabrication drawings, cut lists, bills of material, material specifications, and part requirements before programming

Create efficient nests that maximize plate and remnant utilization while considering material grade, thickness, size, traceability, cut quality, and production requirements

Confirm part quantities, identification, orientation, and cutting requirements before releasing programs to production

Maintain organized program files, nest records, revisions, and supporting documentation so the correct version is available for cutting

Coordinate daily and near‑term cutting priorities with Project Managers and Production personnel to support fabrication schedules

Prepare and release cutting work in a logical sequence based on project need, material availability, cutting capacity, and downstream requirements

Identify and allocate the correct material from available inventory, project‑purchased material, or suitable remnants in accordance with job requirements

Coordinate with Inventory Control and Purchasing when suitable material is not available or when project‑specific material must be sourced

Ensure material selected for cutting is correctly identified and required material traceability is maintained through the cutting process

Coordinate the identification, measurement, documentation, and return of usable remnants and unused plate to inventory

Participate in supplier‑provided training and develop proficiency in the CAD/CAM nesting and machine‑programming software supplied with JNE’s future fiber laser cutting system

Troubleshoot programming, software, interface, data‑transfer, and cut‑file issues and assist with basic problem isolation related to CNC cutting equipment

Identify and recommend improvements to nesting efficiency, material flow, inventory accuracy, scheduling, program control, and cutting productivity

Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new CAD/CAM nesting software, cutting technologies, machine controls, and production workflows

Follow all JNE health, safety, environmental, quality, and operating requirements
