You will deliver hands-on, technically rigorous instruction in game audio implementation, tools, and concepts at the post-secondary level. You bring real-world experience and can translate complex middleware workflows into clear, engaging lessons for students working toward careers in the game industry.
Core Responsibilities
Strong teaching and training abilities, including experience in classroom instruction, workshops, or mentoring in sound design or a related discipline.
Professional experience in sound design for film, television, games, or visual media, with a strong portfolio or credits demonstrating industry-level work.
Proficiency with industry-standard audio tools and workflows (the course focuses on recording voice-over and ADR, foley production, utilizing sound libraries, and mixing/editing for picture using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to an inclusive, respectful classroom setting.
Ability to give clear, actionable feedback and support students in developing creative and technical skills under tight production timelines.
Relevant post-secondary education in audio, sound design, film, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Post-secondary teaching or vocational training experience is an asset; familiarity with visual media production pipelines is required.
What We're Looking For

Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Moodle.
Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Post-secondary teaching or vocational training experience is an asset; familiarity with visual media production pipelines is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with an M.F.A. or M.A. degree and individuals with previous college or private post-secondary instructional experience.
