The Opportunity Carlson Construction Group, in conjunction with its subsidiary, Brymark Installations, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HSE Administrator to support one of our exciting project sites in North Vancouver. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining our strong safety culture while contributing to a major project in a dynamic, rapid-paced environment.
This is a full-time, fixed-term 9 month contract position with the possibility of extension. The role follows a 10-days-on / 4-days-off rotation, with 10-hour workdays, and is based locally in North Vancouver, BC.
As a key member of the project team, you will provide administrative support to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function, helping ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and project-specific safety programs while promoting a positive and proactive safety culture across the site.
About the Role The HSE Administrator plays a critical role in supporting compliance, documentation, and overall health, safety, and environmental performance on site. This position will support a project being delivered by Carlson Construction Group in conjunction with its subsidiary, Brymark Installations.
You will work closely with the on-site HSE team, project leadership,
and Human Resources to help ensure safe operations, regulatory compliance, and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and track accident, incident, injury, and safety statistics, including violations and corrective actions
Review safety documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, providing feedback as required
Track and monitor safety training and certifications for employees and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with all required HSE documentation, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Notify management of any issues that may impact safety performance or project operations
Support HSE Managers and collaborate with Human Resources on safety-related initiatives
Promote and uphold all Carlson Construction Group and Brymark Installations HSE policies, procedures, and standards
Participate in site activities, inspections, meetings, and safety planning initiatives
Assist with audits, claims management, injury files, and return-to-work documentation
Prepare, proofread, and distribute reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and correspondence
Support client HSE documentation requirements and contractor prequalification submissions
Prioritize competing demands effectively while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Maintain confidential departmental, employee, and project records
Perform general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, data entry, and photocopying
What You Bring Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational,
planning, and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support multiple stakeholders
A proactive, safety-first mindset and professional attitude
Previous experience in construction, industrial, or HSE administration is considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Highly motivated learners with a strong interest in health and safety are encouraged to apply
