Our client is a well-established construction sub-contractor in the telecommunications infrastructure construction industry, specializing in fiber-optic network solutions across Canada. They have an existing job open for a Telecom Fiber Optic Engineering & Splicing Estimator to be based out of their office in the Brampton, Concord or North York, ON area . The Estimator will prepare accurate quotes, assist with RFP/RFQ submissions, and support fiber optic splicing and installation projects across Canada.

This requires 5 days a week in office and some travel to splicing sites, less than 30%.

- Prepare cost estimates for fiber optic splicing, installation, outside plant and FTTH projects.
- Review drawings, route maps, splice diagrams, project scopes, tender documents and client requirements.
- Complete material takeoffs for fiber counts, closures, splice trays, terminals, splitters and related hardware.
- Build quotes, bid packages, pricing schedules and change order estimates for telecom infrastructure work.
- Work closely with project managers,



field crews and sub-contractors to confirm pricing, materials and labour needs.

Telecom Fiber Optic Engineering & Splicing Estimator will have 3-5 years of estimating experience in telecom sub-contracting industry (ideally servicing customers like Rogers, Bell) supporting fiber splicing, OSP, FTTH or telecom infrastructure projects. Candidates should have strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing, installation methods, material takeoffs, drawings, Microsoft Excel and blueprint/takeoff tools. A bachelor’s degree or two-year technologist /electronics diploma is preferred, along with a valid Canadian driver’s license. Qualified candidates already in the Brampton - Concord - North York, ON area able to work 5 days on-site with experience preparing telecom fiber splicing estimates, reviewing RFP/RFQ documents, completing material/labour takeoffs and supporting bid submissions are invited to forward their resumes in MS Word format to [email protected] .
