Responsibilities
Ensuring fabricated steel components meet project specifications, customer requirements, company quality standards, and applicable industry codes before they leave the shop.
Working alongside senior welders, they will support quality inspections, verify fabrication accuracy, maintain quality documentation, identify non-conformances, and assist with corrective actions to ensure consistent product quality
Requirements
Experience working in a structural steel fabrication environment.
Solid knowledge to interpret steel fabrication drawings and welding symbols .
A robust understanding of dimensional tolerances, fit-up, and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with welding inspection and quality control procedures.
Working knowledge of industry standards such as CSA W47.1, CSA W59, and ISO quality management systems is considered an asset.
