Cognizant seeks a Network Patching Tower Lead to manage firmware upgrades and security patches during Canada hours. You will ensure zero outages while handling a vast network of over 147,000 devices.

In this onshore role, you will serve as the primary liaison with client NetOps/L2/L3, coordinating maintenance windows and managing compliance reporting. You’ll leverage your expert Cisco skills to execute IOS/IOS-XE/NX-OS firmware upgrades while directing offshore SMEs. Your deep understanding of network redundancy will be critical for successful operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute firmware upgrades on Cisco and Juniper devices
• Design redundancy-aware patching sequences with failover protocols
• Coordinate change windows with NOC and client NetOps




• Maintain device EOL/EOS tracking and update asset records
• Perform RCA for failed upgrades and execute rollbacks

Requirements:
• CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Data Centre certification required
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification required
• Experience with Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Juniper Junos
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, HSRP protocols
• Robust understanding of security vulnerabilities and patching strategies
