Become a vital part of Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services as a Counsellor/Therapist, supporting diverse communities in Toronto. Provide compassionate case management and trauma-informed care to newcomers, immigrants, and refugees.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will participate in program planning and evaluation while delivering essential counseling services. This role involves working with various community groups to identify gaps and provide culturally sensitive support. You will offer both brief and long-term counseling to clients facing complex health and social issues, all while helping ensure health with dignity is achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide trauma-informed short-term counseling
• Coordinate client care and assessments
• Support integrated services with health determinants
• Establish community partnerships and service networks
• Participate in quality assurance and performance evaluation
Requirements:
• Master's in social work or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years clinical counseling experience
• Familiarity with health promotion therapeutic methods
• Excellent crisis intervention and facilitation skills
• Ability to work flexible schedule across various locations
