Salary Range: CA$80,000.00 To CA$90,000.00 Annually
About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Quality Manager, the Quality Coordinator works closely with operations, laboratory personnel, and corporate HSEQ teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, maintain critical quality records, coordinate audits, and support product quality and customer satisfaction initiatives. This position will be based at our Timmins Micronizing Mill with occasional travel to Penhorwood.
Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
Coordinate and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
Administer ISO 9001 compliance activities and documentation
Manage document control processes and quality records
Coordinate internal and external audits
Support corrective and preventative action programs
Maintain Risk & Opportunity and Management Review processes
Ensure compliance with quality-related standards and procedures
Participate in integrated management system initiatives with HSEQ teams
Customer Quality & Continuous Improvement
Act as the primary customer complaint coordinator
Investigate quality concerns and support resolution activities
Track corrective actions and monitor effectiveness
Prepare reports and presentations related to quality performance
Assist with non-conformance investigations and product disposition decisions
Apply statistical methods to support product quality and process improvements
Laboratory and Technical Support
Coordinate QC laboratory activities and personnel
Oversee calibration and preventative maintenance of quality assurance equipment
Support laboratory equipment approvals and purchases
Ensure product retains are maintained appropriately
Assist with product sample coordination and customer requests
Training and Collaboration
Facilitate quality-related meetings and maintain meeting records
Support employee training programs related to quality systems
Collaborate with Operations, Technical Services, Sales, Customer Service, and Corporate HSEQ teams
Promote continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
3–5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience with ISO Management Systems is required
Experience supporting quality assurance or quality management systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting is considered an asset
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 requirements
Understanding of laboratory procedures and quality assurance practices
Effective communication and leadership skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Robust attention to detail and accuracy
Auditing experienceStatistical analysis and problem-solving skills
