Canada Games: Québec, 2027
The Canada Games are the country’s largest multi-sport competition and will bring together more than 3,500 high-calibre athletes and coaches in Québec City from February 27 to March 14, 2027, across 22 sports. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter, the Games celebrate the perseverance and sportsmanship of young Canadian athletes.
Building the Team
The 2027 Canada Games Host Society is looking for bold thinkers to help create a legendary Games experience. Your mission? Your Role
The success of the Games depends on seamless logistics. The Canada Games 2027 is seeking a Coordinator, Warehouse and Logistic. In this role, you will support the Equipment Manager in coordinating warehouse operations and ensuring the efficient flow of materials, including receiving, inventorying, packaging, shipping, and delivery tracking. You will also contribute to developing clear procedures, maintaining a safe work environment, and supporting volunteers and temporary staff. Together, you will make sure every logistical detail enhances the experience of athletes and spectators alike.
Your logistics management expertise will enable you to:
Orchestrate our logistics hub by planning, organizing, and executing all warehousing activities, including inventory control, receiving, and optimal space utilization;
Plan and coordinate the transportation of equipment and materials between the warehouse, suppliers, and various Games venues, in collaboration with internal teams;
Develop and implement delivery and collection plans for equipment and materials throughout the setup, operational, teardown, and post-Games return phases;
Receive, handle, inventory, pack,
and ship materials before, during, and after the Games, while ensuring accurate tracking and traceability;
Monitor deliveries, collections, and material movements, and respond quickly to delays, unforeseen circumstances, or changes in operational requirements;
Foster operational alignment across teams by developing and implementing logistics policies and procedures that support structured and productive operations;
Contribute to maintaining a safe work setting in compliance with CNESST and City of Québec standards and regulations;
Execute the Games legacy plan and coordinate the recovery, return, redistribution, or disposal of assets and equipment following the Games;
Develop talent by supervising, training, and supporting volunteers and temporary employees involved in logistics operations;
Tackle unexpected challenges by bringing creativity, energy, and a solution-oriented mindset to situations and operational issues that arise along the way.
Keys to success
Want to join our team? Here's what it takes:
College diploma, technical degree or training in operations and supply chain management, warehouse and transportation management, or any other related field;
2 to 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Experience in inventory management and using equipment and material reservation software;
Experience in volunteer management and/or team management;
Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written;
Successfully complete the forklift training program provided by the city of Québec (mandatory requirement);
Ability to perform minor repairs (an asset);
Valid driver's license (Class 5);
Criminal background check required.
