Elevate youth mental health in Prince George as a Psychiatric Social Worker with BC Public Service. You will deliver assessments and treatment while collaborating with a passionate team.
As part of the Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services team, you'll play a vital role in providing mental health care to young individuals within the justice system. This full time position requires a Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience. Your focus will be on individual, group, and family counseling while supporting diverse youth needs through community-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver mental health assessments and outpatient treatment services
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
• Promote equity and diversity in care for youth
• Maintain clinical registration with BCCSW within 6 months
Requirements:
• Master's in Counselling, Social Work or similar
• One year of clinical experience in adolescent mental health
• Valid class 5 BC Driver’s license
• Experience in forensic settings is preferred
• Provide proof of degree equivalency if obtained outside Canada
