As a Craft Recruiter, you will support the recruitment and onboarding of hourly craft employees across a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or grow their career in recruitment, human resources, or workforce planning.
What You Will Be Working On What You Will Be Working On Support the recruitment process for hourly craft positions across Western Canada
Post jobs on internal and external job boards
Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings
Schedule interviews and assist hiring managers throughout the hiring process
Maintain candidate and employee information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Conduct reference checks and support pre-employment requirements
Assist with onboarding and orientation activities
Attend job fairs, industry events, school presentations, and community recruitment initiatives
Build relationships with candidates and provide a positive candidate experience
Assist with sourcing candidates through online job boards, social media, and referral programs
Track recruitment metrics and prepare basic recruitment reports
Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives
Participate in special projects and other recruitment-related activities as assigned
What We Are Looking For Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
0-2 years of recruitment, human resources, administration,
customer service, or related experience
Strong interest in recruitment, talent acquisition, and the construction industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable learning new systems and technology
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Experience using social media platforms for networking and candidate engagement is considered an asset
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Additional Requirements: Must have valid driver's license
Willingness to travel periodically to project sites and recruitment events throughout Western Canada
Occasional flexibility to attend recruitment events outside of regular business hours
