Contribute to ethical research practices with IWK Health as a Research Ethics Analyst in Halifax. This temporary full-time role supports researchers navigating ethical data access and collection.
As part of the Research Ethics team, you will play a crucial role in creating guidelines and resources that facilitate ethical research within the One Person One Record (OPOR) environment. You'll engage with researchers, identify barriers, and develop educational resources that enhance understanding of research ethics. This position requires a solid background in research ethics combined with project management skills to ensure compliance with TCPS2 and other policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify ethical barriers for research guidelines
• Develop SOPs for ethical health information use
• Facilitate education sessions on OPOR for researchers
• Serve as the primary contact for ethics-related inquiries
• Provide regular updates to the Research Ethics team
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in health-related field
• OPOR PowerTrials experience required
• Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS2) training
• Research environment experience essential
• Solid organizational and analytical skills
