Provide comprehensive therapeutic support as a Residential Addiction Specialist at CMHA-S/M. Offer evidence-based counseling to aid residents on their recovery journey in a full-time, permanent role.

This position focuses on supporting individuals in abstinence-based treatment programs. The Addiction Specialist will conduct assessments, create personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance residents' recovery. Flexible hours will be required, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments to understand resident needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans for each resident
• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions




• Coordinate care and discharge planning effectively
• Collaborate with team members to support sustained recovery

Requirements:
• Graduation from a relevant health or social services discipline
• Minimum 1 year experience in a related role
• Registration with a qualified body (or working towards it)
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluency in English; French proficiency preferred
