Thurber is seeking an Early Career Construction Materials Field Technician in Edmonton, Alberta. This role offers hands-on experience in field testing and quality control for construction materials used in various projects.

In this full-time role, you will support on-call field testing activities, including soil compaction, concrete testing, and quality assurance. With at least one season of relevant experience, you'll be integral to the success of diverse construction projects while working closely with engineers and clients. Routine travel to local and remote sites is part of this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field compaction testing of soils
• Carry out construction inspection and quality control testing




• Perform field concrete testing as per industry standards
• Monitor pile construction for driven and cast-in-place piles
• Liaise effectively with project engineers and clients

Requirements:
• At least eight months of field testing experience
• Concrete Testing Certificate from CCIL/CSA required
• Robust communication and organizational skills
• Valid Class 5 driver license
• Ability to lift 25 kg samples and equipment
