Join Dalhousie University as an Associate Legal Counsel, specializing in research and intellectual property law. Engage in drafting and advising on research agreements while supporting innovation efforts.
In this dynamic role, you will report directly to the Vice-President, Research and Innovation. With a minimum of two years practicing law, you will provide essential legal support regarding compliance, confidentiality, and commercializing research outputs. This hybrid position allows for a mix of remote work within Nova Scotia and on-campus collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on legal matters related to research agreements • Support contract administration and compliance activities • Develop and review research-related policies and procedures • Collaborate with researchers and industry partners • Participate in legal projects and regulatory developments
Requirements: • LLB, JD, or equivalent law degree • At least two years of law experience • Familiarity with intellectual property and compliance • Solid relationship building and communication skills • Experience in policy development and implementation
